TOPIC: TRUST IN MARRIAGE

Text: Romans 12:10 — "Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves."

MESSAGE:

Any marriage that is not built on trust cannot stand the test of time.

It is not enough for you to say "I do" at the altar, you must abide by the covenant of marriage and renew your vows daily in your heart.

Today, so many marriages are not built on trust. Some are built on what he or she can offer — money, beauty, or position. But if you build your marriage on trust, you will experience divine peace and unity.

When trust is not there, betrayal will sing in that marriage. That is why infidelity is banging in so many marriages today. Many couples keep dirty secrets from each other. Adultery has become common because many are walking after the flesh.

It is time for married couples to sit down and fix what has gone wrong in their marriages. This is not the time to play with each other's feelings, but the time to set things right.

When trust is lost in a marriage, the divine spirit of unity departs. And once that spirit departs, that marriage becomes spiritually deactivated.

Today I see many marriages falling out of the glory of unity because trust and understanding are missing. That is why so many marriages are breaking into pieces. No one is ready to come to the table of trust and unity. Many think marriage is just about making wealth and giving birth to children, but marriage is more than that.

That is why many couples no longer take marriage seriously. They feel marriage is just something everyone must do.

But love and honor must be restored. Love and honor are lost in many homes today. Some couples don't even care about their families anymore.

Marriage needs trust, love, honor and God.

PRAYER:

Father, restore trust, love and unity in every marriage that is going through crisis. Heal every broken home and bring back peace, in Jesus name, Amen.
