Topic: If You Truly Care For The Living

Bible Text: John 14:19
"Because I live, you also will live."

Reflection:

Many people only remember God when somebody is dying. We pray hard when we are sick, we cry when we lose someone, but we forget the living around us every day.

If you truly care for the living, you will do three things:

1. Give them Jesus now, not tears later.
The best gift you can give to your wife, your children, your family, your friends, is not money. It is Jesus. Don't wait until you stand at their grave to say how much you love them. Tell them about salvation today.

2. Show love while they can still feel it.
We often send long messages when someone dies, but we ignore the same person when they are alive and hungry, lonely, or depressed. The Bible says love in action, not just in words. Call that person. Forgive that person. Visit that person. Give food to that person. Do it now.

3. Live well so you can teach others how to live.
Your own life is a message. If you live for Jesus today, people will see Jesus in you. They will want to follow Him. If you live carelessly, you are teaching your children to live carelessly too.

My brother, my sister, today is not for worrying about when you will get there. Today is for making sure you and the people you love are ready to get there.

Heaven is real. Hell is real. The time to choose is not on the deathbed. The time is while we are still alive, breathing, walking, hearing this word.

If you care, act now.

Let us pray:
Lord Jesus, thank You for giving me life today. I am alive because You allow it. Teach me to care for the living around me. Use me to bring them to You. Let me not only talk about love, but show love. Help me to live for You today and always. In Jesus name, Amen.

Something to do today:
1. Mention Jesus to at least one living person today.
2. Do one kind act for someone alive who needs help.
3. Forgive one person you are holding in your heart.

Life is short. Let's use it to save souls.
