TOPIC: THE LIFE OF MARY AND JOSEPH

ANCHOR SCRIPTURES
Matthew 1:24 - "When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him."
Luke 1:38 - "And Mary said, Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word."
REFLECTION
The life of Mary and Joseph teaches us obedience, protection, and surrender in God's plan.
Joseph was a righteous man. He could have walked away quietly and protected his reputation. But when God spoke to him in a dream, he obeyed. He did not argue. He woke up and did what God said.
He protected Mary from shame. He protected Jesus from Herod. He worked with his hands, led his home in quiet faith, and raised the Savior with dignity. His life shows us: Real men protect purpose and obey God even when it costs them.

Mary was young, ordinary, and afraid. But she said "yes" to God. She chose surrender over questions. While Joseph protected the purpose outwardly, Mary carried the purpose inwardly - in her womb and in her heart. Her life shows us: God uses willing vessels, not perfect people.

Together, they faced shame, long travel, poverty, and danger. Yet they stayed faithful. They raised the Savior of the world in a simple, ordinary home.

3 LESSONS FROM THEIR LIFE:
1. Obey God quickly. Like Joseph, don't delay when God speaks. Obedience opens the door for miracles.
2. Protect what God has given you. Your family, your calling, your faith.
3. Surrender fully. Like Mary, let it be to you according to His word. Great destinies are raised in ordinary homes.

God is still looking for Josephs who will stand and obey, and Marys who will surrender.

Your house can also become a place where Jesus grows.

PRAYER
Father, thank You for the example of Joseph and Mary. Give me strength like Joseph, to obey and to protect what You have placed in my hands. Give me a heart like Mary, quick to say yes to You. Help me to be faithful in small things. Let my home be a place where Jesus is honored and raised. In Jesus' name, Amen.

DECLARATION FOR TODAY
I am available for God's plan.
I will obey God even when it is hard.
I will protect my family and my purpose.
God will use my life and my home for His glory.
