Topic: Jesus The Saviour of Your Soul
Text: Matthew 1:21 — "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins."
Acts 4:12 — Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
The greatest need of every human soul is salvation. Money can buy comfort, knowledge can buy influence, and power can buy respect. Yet none of these can save a soul from sin and eternal separation from God. This is why Jesus came. He did not come primarily to make us rich or famous. He came to rescue what matters most: your soul.
Every soul without Christ is lost, no matter how moral or religious the person may be. Romans 3:23 makes it clear: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Sin creates a debt we cannot pay and a gap we cannot bridge by ourselves.
Jesus stepped into human history to do what no priest, prophet, or sacrifice could do. On the cross, He bore the punishment for your sin. Isaiah 53:5 says, He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities. His blood speaks redemption for your soul. The Lord saves. It is not a title; it is His assignment. When you call on that name in faith, chains break, guilt is washed away, and your soul finds rest. He still saves today, completely and eternally.
Salvation is a gift, but it must be received. Romans 10:9 says, If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. A saved soul is a surrendered soul.
Have you personally accepted Jesus as the Saviour of your soul, or are you still trusting in good works? • If you are saved, who around you still needs to hear about this Saviour? • Today, thank Jesus specifically for saving your soul and ask Him to use you to point someone else to Him
.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, I acknowledge You as the Saviour of my soul. Thank You for dying in my place and rising for my justification. I turn from my sin and I surrender my life to You today. Save me, keep me, and use me to bring others into Your saving grace. Amen.
Declaration
My soul is saved, my sins are forgiven, and my name is written in heaven because Jesus is my Saviour.
